Saint Paul St Patricks Day Human Race Since 1973, the St. Patrick`s Day Human Race has been your way to rejoice in the end of winter, coming of spring and, of course, St. Patrick`s Day! With a 5K, 8K and youth run, there is an event for everyone. What is the Human Race?Why does this event use the tag Human Race? In 2005 a scientific article was released that caught our attention. The authors claimed that the human body has evolved to be the shape it is because of running. That`s what we have thought all along, that running isn`t just something we do, it makes us human!As usual, this event is both competitive and fun. The 8K run is the USATF Minnesota 8K Championship event and is on the Minnesota Distance Running Association (MDRA) Grand Prix. We also have a 5K walk/jog, youth run, shoe drive and more!
